We at EN Japanese Brasserie aim to set the standard for contemporary Japanese dining with our modern version of Izakaya, traditional pub fare, served in a stylish, grand setting.
With over 30 restaurants in Japan, Chefs Koji Nakano & Yasuhiro Honma have created a menu that combines traditional dishes with EN original recipes. Fresh tofu, handcrafted miso and housemade soy sauce show a dedication to authenticity rarely seen in NYC. Signature dishes like our Saikyo Miso Grilled Black Cod and Berkshire Pork Belly Braised in Sansho Miso reveal the exciting culinary Japanese landscape outside of sushi.
Designer Ichiro Sato has brought a chic Tokyo aesthetic to NYC with soaring ceilings and oversized windows to provide a backdrop for warm woods and authentic antique panels. The sleek, intimate lounge serves a full menu, and the dramatic, spacious dining room is moored by an open kitchen on one end and a calming fountain in the center.
EN Shochu Bar, under the direction of Takahiro Okada, offers the opportunity to explore the world of Japanese spirits. Shochu is distilled from a variety of grains ranging from traditional ingredients like sweet potato and barley to those as far-reaching as sesame and carrot. Serving over 20 types of this delicious, versatile spirit, EN Shochu Bar is a warm, approachable space to discover and enjoy Tokyo’s drink of choice.
With the establishment of EN Japanese Brasserie, New Yorkers can experience another, exciting side of the rich Japanese tradition of food. We look forward to showing you the true flavor of Japan.
